What if the offer isn't better than my current loan?

Then you keep your current loan, and that's a perfectly good outcome. Nothing obliges you to accept an offer, not applying, not receiving one, nothing. You're free to walk away at any point before you sign the new contract.

It costs you nothing to find out: no fee to you, and the check that starts the process doesn't affect your credit score. Sometimes the answer is 'your current loan already looks sharp', and knowing that has its own value. You've replaced a nagging question with an answer.

Compare offers on the total cost over the remaining term, including any break fee, not on the weekly repayment alone. If the numbers don't clearly favour switching, staying put is the right call, and we'd tell you the same.
