The Switch
Step 01
Tell us about your current loan.
Your balance, your repayment, who it's with. About two minutes, no paperwork digging required.
Step 02
We line up a better one from our lender panel.
We pass your details to our panel of approved NZ lenders. Any offer they make is yours to weigh against staying put.
Step 03
You switch. We handle the paperwork.
The new lender settles your old loan directly. Same car, new loan, nothing for you to chase.
The loan you signed
isn't the loan you're stuck with.
Questions
Asked, answered.
Is it really free? +
Yes. The lender pays us a referral fee when your loan settles. That fee doesn't change your rate. No broker fee, no add-on at signing. If you don't switch, nobody pays anything.
Can I refinance with my current lender? +
You can always ask them. Our job is to check the wider market: your file goes to a panel of approved NZ lenders, and we bring back what they offer so you can weigh it against staying put.
Does checking affect my credit score? +
Checking your options with us doesn't hit your credit file. The panel's initial assessment is a soft check. If you go ahead with a full application, the lender runs their own checks, and a full application can appear on your credit file. We'll tell you before that happens.
What about break fees on my current loan? +
Some loans carry an early-repayment or break fee, and it varies by lender. Whether switching still works in your favour depends on your loan, so any fees get factored into the picture before you decide. No promises on the number until a lender looks at it.
How long does it take? +
The application takes about two minutes. Most lender decisions come back within 24 hours. If you switch, the new lender settles your old loan directly, and we handle the paperwork in between.
What do I need to apply? +
Your driver's licence, payslips or three months of bank statements, and the basics of your current loan: roughly what's owing, the repayment, and who it's with. That's enough for the panel to assess.
I'm on a work visa. Can you help? +
Yes. Our panel includes lenders who assess your employment and income, not just the length of your NZ credit history. Visa documentation is required with your supporting documents.
