By using Leverage Finance, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who we are

Leverage Finance is a lead-generation and concierge referral service for car buyers in New Zealand.

What we do

Leverage Finance connects you with a panel of approved New Zealand finance lenders for a pre-approval decision based on the information you provide. On request, we also act as a concierge between you and the seller of a vehicle you have identified, to facilitate the purchase and delivery of that vehicle. We are not a lender, motor vehicle trader, or credit provider. Lending decisions, rates, and final terms are determined by the lender. The vehicle purchase contract is between you and the seller.

What we don't do

We do not warrant or guarantee the condition, history, fitness, or value of any vehicle. We do not source or own vehicles. We do not perform or arrange pre-purchase vehicle inspections; we strongly recommend the buyer arranges an independent AA pre-purchase inspection on every used vehicle before settlement. The cost of inspections, registration, insurance, and any other purchase-related expenses is your responsibility.

Eligibility

To use Leverage Finance you must be: 18 years or older; a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or current work-visa holder; able to provide recent payslips or 3 months of bank statements; with sufficient income to support the loan you are seeking under our lender panel's responsible-lending criteria; and free of current unpaid defaults at the time of application.

Fees

Leverage Finance is free for you. No application fees, no concierge fees, no broker fees. We are compensated by the lender when a loan is completed. This compensation does not increase your interest rate or the cost of your loan. Any third-party costs (such as AA inspections, registration, insurance) are yours and arranged directly between you and the provider.

Documents

You agree to provide accurate identification, proof of income (payslips or bank statements), and any visa documentation if applicable. We use this solely to verify your identity and assess affordability under responsible lending principles.

Concierge service

If you ask us to deal with a seller on your behalf, we will contact the seller, confirm availability and price, and progress paperwork. Final acceptance of the vehicle and the purchase contract is yours. We will not commit to purchase a vehicle without your written confirmation. We do not perform or arrange pre-purchase vehicle inspections; the buyer is responsible for arranging an independent inspection. Subject to the outcome of pending legal review, the scope of negotiation we undertake on your behalf may be adjusted.

Offers

Any offer you receive is made by the lender, and its terms, including how long it remains open, are set by that lender and stated in the offer itself. Offers are indicative until the lender issues final loan documents. You can re-apply at any time at no cost.

Limitation of liability

Any initial assessment is indicative. Final lending decisions, rates, and terms are at the lender's sole discretion. Leverage Finance is not liable for: lending decisions made by our lender panel; changes to or expiry of a lender's offer; the condition, history, or fitness of any vehicle; or any loss arising from disputes between you and a seller. Our maximum aggregate liability under these terms, to the extent permitted by law, is limited to NZD $500.

Complaints

Email [email protected]. We acknowledge within 5 working days and respond within 20. If unresolved, you may escalate to the dispute resolution scheme operated by the relevant lender.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
